Custom software development that follows your workflows.

A grown operation runs on workflows no off-the-shelf product anticipated. Custom software development starts exactly there: we build the application that fits your workflows, your staff and the systems you already run – from PLCs and OPC UA to MES and ERP. Requirements first, then software in short cycles; at the end, the source code is yours.

When bespoke software is the better choice.

Every operation works differently: the shift handover runs on a form, the inspection record on an Excel sheet, order progress by word of mouth. We take these workflows as they are and build the software around them – instead of bending the operation to fit a product. Standard software covers the core of most processes well; the detours appear at the edges: double entry, exports, macros only one person understands. Those edges are exactly where custom software solutions built to your requirements belong.

Having business software developed does not mean rebuilding everything. Usually it is one application that connects to what is already there: the controller via OPC UA, the ERP system through its interface, the archive of inspection reports as PDFs. For a mid-sized business the decisive point is that the solution can be run without an in-house development team. So we keep the architecture small, document it and hand over the source code – you stay independent, including from us.

What you receive

Four things custom software for businesses actually delivers.

What sits with you at the end of a project, and who works with it – the deliverables, not the feature list.

  • An application built to your requirements

Before the first line of code there is a requirements document, written together with the people who will use the software – shift supervisors, maintenance technicians, production planners. It names roles, inputs, outputs and exceptions. The software follows from it – and nothing nobody asked for.
  • Integration with PLCs, MES and ERP

The application does not sit beside your systems but between them: signals from S7 controllers via OPC UA, order data from MES and ERP, records as PDF or Excel. We build the interfaces and data pipelines that bring these sources together – without replacing any system you already run.
  • Source code and documentation belong to you

You receive the complete source code with its version history, the architecture and interface documentation, and the usage rights you need for operation and further development. Your IT department or another provider can take the application over. We build in no dependency that ties you to us later.
  • Extensible as the operation grows

A second line, a new site, another data format: the architecture is laid out from the start so that an extension means a new module, not a rebuild. What is built for one machine today can be rolled out to the whole shop floor tomorrow – step by step, at the pace your operation sets.
How we work

Having custom software developed for your business – how it works.

Three phases, three decisions. Each phase ends with a result you can continue with – with us or without us.

  1. 01 Initial consultation: clarify the workflow and the need

    approx. 30 min

In about 30 minutes by phone or video we talk about the workflow that holds you up, the systems involved and the people who work with them. You learn whether custom software is the right answer – or whether an existing tool will do.

  2. 02 Concept: requirements, architecture, quotation

    1–2 weeks

Within one to two weeks you receive a requirements document with roles and workflows, a target architecture with every interface, and a quotation – at a fixed price or on a time-and-materials basis. The concept is yours, even if you implement it with another partner.

  3. 03 Implementation and operation in two-week cycles

    2-week cycles

Every cycle ends with a running version that you test with real data and accept. We plan for a first usable version after four to eight weeks. Then we run the application in the EU or at your plant – or hand it over to your IT department.

Is this for you

A good fit if …

  • your staff enter the same data twice – at the machine, in Excel and in the ERP system.
  • a workflow depends on an Excel file that only one person in the company understands.
  • you need software for your production processes and no standard product covers them fully.
  • you want to own the source code and develop the application further yourselves later on.
Questions

Frequently asked questions.

It depends on the scope, which is why we do not quote a flat rate without a concept. Three factors drive the price: the number of systems to connect, the number of roles and workflows the application has to cover, and the requirements for operating it. Clearly defined services such as the concept are offered at a fixed price; development is charged per two-week cycle with a budget cap. After the concept phase you know the frame before you commit.

The concept phase takes one to two weeks. The target is a first usable version after four to eight weeks – for example an application that connects one machine via OPC UA and shows its values on a dashboard. The full scope depends on the number of interfaces and workflows. Because every two-week cycle delivers a running version, your staff work with the software early rather than only at the end.

If a workflow costs time every day and no standard product covers it, yes – regardless of company size. A small business does not need a large application for that: often a tool that replaces an Excel list or transfers machine data to the ERP system automatically is enough. What is not worth it is a custom build where proven standard software already covers most of the workflow. We tell you that openly in the initial consultation.

Less than many expect. For the concept, a description of the workflow as it runs today, a list of the systems involved – say an S7 controller, MES, ERP, Excel files – and examples of the records it produces are enough. Access to controllers or databases is only needed during implementation, and initially read-only as a rule. Missing data is no obstacle: where nothing is recorded today, the application starts recording.

With a customised standard solution the vendor determines the data model, the feature set and the timing of updates; your adjustments sit on top as configuration or scripts. With bespoke software your workflows determine the structure, and the source code belongs to you. That makes sense where the workflow is what defines your operation, or where several systems have to be connected. For accounting or payroll, standard software remains the better choice – saying so is part of honest advice.
